Delete your Visa Jump account
You can delete your account and its data yourself at any time, on the web or in the Visa Jump app for iPhone and Android.
Delete it yourself
- Sign in at visajump.com or in the Visa Jump app.
- Open My profile › Account › Privacy & account.
- Choose Delete account, read what will be deleted, and confirm.
You do not need the app: signing in on the website works the same way. Admin and moderator accounts are handed over by the owner first.
Ask us instead
If you cannot sign in, email [email protected] from the email address you sign in with and ask us to delete your account. We check that the request is yours (for example by replying to that address) and then delete the account the same way as Delete account: you are signed out everywhere, any membership is canceled at once, and we email you when deletion starts and again when it is finished, within 30 days of starting. We keep a record of your request and how we checked it, without your email address.
What happens at once
- You are signed out on every device and cannot sign back in to this account.
- Any membership is canceled at once. You will not be charged again, and the unused part of the current period is not refunded.
What we delete within 30 days
- Your sign-in link to Google or Apple, your email address and your names. For Apple, we first ask Apple to revoke its authorization, and keep asking until Apple confirms.
- Your community profile, private personal details, records and salary evidence.
- Every document in My documents, including all earlier versions, and your application files and resume details.
- Your Inbox chats with the admins and your support requests.
- Your notifications, notification settings and push-notification tokens.
- Your follows, saved posts, likes, blocked members, tracked opportunities, reminders and outcome reports.
- Opportunities you submitted that were never published, and your description and notes on any that were.
- The text and images of your posts and comments. Where other members replied, a placeholder by "Deleted member" stays so their replies still make sense; none of your words remain in it.
Deletion starts within hours of your request and is finished within 30 days. We email you when it is finished. Deleted data can remain in our database provider's restore history for up to 30 more days, then it is gone.
What we keep, and why
- Billing records (invoices, payments, subscription history) and the membership terms and consents you accepted, held by us (billing also by Stripe) for at least three years, or one year after your membership ends if that is longer, and longer where tax or accounting law requires.
- Records of moderation actions and of reports you filed or that were filed about your content, to keep the community safe and to answer legal claims.
- For opportunities you listed that other members could see: only the facts about the outside opportunity (its name, organizer, link, deadline, eligibility and fees), because other members saved or reported on them. They leave the board.
- A record that you asked for deletion and when it finished (and, if you asked us by email, how we checked the request was yours), matched to a one-way code made from your email address rather than the address itself.
- Stripe keeps the identity-check data it controls under its own policy; when you delete your account we ask Stripe to redact it (see the Privacy Policy).
Downloads you made and emails already sent cannot be recalled. Free checklist, evaluation, guide and consultation records are separate from your account; the Privacy Policy explains how long they are kept and how to delete them.
